Shipping and Returns policy
All our products are hand made in our UK family workshop.
We try to ship as quickly as we can however our standard lead time is within 15-20 Working days from ordering.This period may be extended during busier periods eg Christmas or when weather conditions have an impact on our couriers. Please note that custom made orders may take longer.
Small and medium size items are shipped via TNT/Fedex on a next day service.Tracking details will be sent to your email
Large items items are shipped via Freight network or private delivery companies .Although we can deliver on a weekday the freight company will only specify a delivery window 8.30am to 5.30 pm .Please note that someone will need to be available to receive and sign for goods which are sometime delivered on a Pallet to the nearest access point available at the delivery address.Larger items may take a further 7 days to deliver .Please note that the UK freight service and private couriers do not support tracking .They will however contact our customers to make arrangements for delivery.
Please note that there may be an additional charge for broken delivery arrangements made by the Courier or Freight contractor .This charge will be passed to the customer .Any item that is refused for delivery will be subject to additional shipping charges or may be held at our premises pending customer collection. Arrangements for collection will be the responsibility of the customer.
Please note that our shipping costs on our website are based on shipping to mainland UK and does not apply to any small islands or Northern Ireland. Please contact us directly at email@example.com for a quote on any shipment out with the mainland UK.
To assist with delivery please supply both land line and mobile contact details when ordering.
Please note that we are unable to coordinate deliveries with your own builders fitters etc and would advise that the item is delivered prior to you booking fitters joiners etc.Where circumstances arise out with our control we are unable to guarantee deliveries for specific dates
Please note there may be delivery surcharges for outlying areas Islands, Ireland and Overseas orders please contact us with your full address for if your delivery address falls within these categories.
They include KW, IV, AB, and some PA post codes
Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider , shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Deliveries During Covid-19 Pandemic
Covid -19 has impacted on businesses around the world .Durning these extremely challenging times delays are possible, however we will do our best to deliver your item as quick as we can.
Our suppliers, maintenance engineers, couriers and our staff are working flat out , this may a slow our response times to answering any calls and emails. We would therefore respectfully request that call and emails are made when necessary.
You may return any item within 14 days of delivery for a full refund.We are unable to arrange returns for items shipped internationally
You should expect to receive your refund less any actual delivery costs within 5 days of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 7 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We do not cover any costs to return the item to us. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Any damages must be reported by email with images within 24 hours of receipt of goods. We will organise replacements within 7 days (Please note that our products are made from natural wood materials therefore each piece may differ in graining characteristics making each item unique )
Please note that when returning items you must use adequate packaging to protect against damage and be fully insured by the returning courier. Any items returned back to us damaged/not in the condition they were sent to the customer in will be non refundable.
Custom and Bespoke Items
For custom or bespoke made items we are unable to accept returns or refunds for items that have been specifically made at the customers request.
The majority of items for sale through the driftwoodinteriors.co.uk website are made individually to order and we do not generally hold any stock. For this reason, once we have started work on your furniture this payment is non-refundable. However with some popular items we might still be able to issue you with a full refund, so please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help.
For this reason, some items require a 50% deposit to secure your order, and once we have started work on your furniture this deposit is non-refundable.The balance becomes due when your item is completed and we have sent images of your finished product for your approval.
The wooden materials we use including reclaimed wood, Driftwood ,Oak ,Yew Chestnut, Larch and other timbers will have variations In grain, character and colour hue making each piece unique and one of a kind
